"Basketball has been the
foundation in my life. But as I grew older, I discovered that my
success would not be measured in wins and losses but in the number
of lives that I touched."

Mission Statement
Baskets 4 Hope
seeks to improve the community through recreational
programs and youth sports. By directly empowering the youth,
Baskets 4 Hope stands for more than just a canned good, a trophy, or
a basketball. Through charity events, scholarships, and fundraisers,
we will go the extra mile to make sure our community knows that we
care and that we want to make a difference. From the basketball
court to the local charities, we will always strive to make the
world better, one basket at a time.
"Hope Through
Hoops"
In the summer of 2007, I attended the funeral
of Eric Campos, a former high school classmate, who was killed
in a senseless act of violence. This tragedy opened my
eyes to the changing times of today's world. I wanted
to help but no matter how hard I struggled with it, I
could not figure out how. But then I remembered all the times that
Eric and I would play basketball. So I decided to use my passion
towards basketball to positively impact the community.
As Baskets 4 Hope enters
its second year of operation, our best days are definitely ahead of
us. I want to personally thank everyone for their support.
I vow to always run Baskets 4 Hope on the
motto
,"Hope through
hoops."
Thank you!
